Taking a day tour to the cultural heritage sites in Kathmandu valley is a great way to understand the culture, history, art, and lifestyle prevalent here since the ancient times. Kathmandu Heritage Day Tour brings you the old and new Kathmandu cultural wonders.
This day tour covers four beautiful cultural heritage sites in different corners of Kathmandu valley. While on the tour, you will explore the majestic spiritual, cultural and historical sites that have been in the UNESCO’s cultural heritage list. Observing the ancient and medieval sites with the touch of modernity in the surroundings is the best way to understand how Kathmandu life has evolved yet with the essence maintained intact.
Katmandu Heritage Day Tour takes you to Swoyambhunath stupa where you can learn about the existence of the Kathmandu valley and the giant Buddhist shrine there. Later on, you will also explore Patan Durbar Square where you will witness the medieval architecture with beautiful craft works. Heading towards Pashupatinath on the tour, you will witness the unique cremation rituals of the Hindus on the bank of the River Bagmati near Pashupatinath temple. Finally, the tour also takes you to the biggest Buddhist shrine in the country, Boudhanath.
